Everlasting
You spoke those words,
Incandescent with light,It filled me with happiness,
It brought back such sweet memories.There was joy untold
And everlasting:“I miss you.”
It was worth the wait.
The long hours spent
By winter’s ragged tempest.Speak them again and again
And I will never forget their promise.
